It’s often time for Love to shed old skins and grow new ones. My husband and I have been together a very long time and know how we must
rip away what is dead and gone to let the new grow over the bulb of the relationship.
Life has a long trail of discards, including years with lovers. We
understand how our commitment must not stale and cling. We can only stay faithful by ripping away what no longer applies.
I think sometimes autumn is the perfect Season to compare to a long
love. It clears out the plants that cannot last and shelters the ones that can with a warming hand. It brightens some colors and dulls the others. It bestows definition on settings.
